Job Description

We are a progressive manufacturer of PET beverage bottles, supplying the Coca-Cola bottling system on the East Coast and in the Midwest.  We have a proven track record of stability and sustained growth over the past 20 years, and are looking for candidates for the following position in our Bowling Green, Ohio facility: 

JOB CLASSIFICATION:         Administrative Clerk (Human Resources) 

REPORTS TO:  Administrative Manager

 BASIC FUNCTION:  Responsible for processing hourly payroll for all employees. Maintain employee attendance records and track vacations.  Assist with general administrative duties related to human resources, sales, accounts payable or accounts receivable.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Maintain payroll records for all hourly employees. Review and update payroll data using the Kronos timekeeping system for the preparation of the hourly payroll transmittal. 

 

  1. Maintain accurate records of all hours worked and all attendance records for hourly employees. Generate attendance report and forward disciplinary recommendations to the Administrative Manager.

 

  1. Enter and track all approved vacation and paid personal time requests.

 

  1. Update and maintain employee bulletin boards. Administer perfect attendance award programs.

 

  1. Assist Administrative Manager with insurance, 401k enrollments, employee orientations or human resource projects. If requested, assume responsibility for daily activity associated with insurance, employee appraisals, group life insurance, and other basic benefits.  Activities may include processing enrollments, terminations, and changes, sending reminder notices, and maintaining accurate files related to appraisals and benefits.

 

  1. Manage and coordinate plant employee activities.

 

  1. Work with Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate accounts payable processing for plant.

 

  1. Manage plant petty cash and operating accounts. Complete necessary month end reporting.

 

  1. Perform the following duties, as requested:
    • Answer telephone, greet visitors and guests coming into the plant and direct them to the appropriate person/department. Ensure accurate log of all guests and visitors.  Maintain and monitor badge security system.
    • Sort and route incoming mail daily.
    • Maintain front office area (copy room, conference rooms, reception area).
    • Maintain and order office supplies.
    • Manage plant cleaning and uniform services.
    • Order lunches, refreshments, drinks, etc. for various activities (meetings, events, etc.).

 

  1. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents and information.

 

  1. Perform other duties as requested by the Administrative Manager. Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Degree preferred

Previous office experience required. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; this facility works on a rotating 12-hour shift. The office is on a 5 day schedule.

Strong computer skills - Excel, Word, Outlook.  

Would like to have someone with experience with KRONOS and/or DYNAMIX

Good communication skills 

Event planning/Catering experience a plus

Good organization skills 

Work experience in Human Resources preferred

Work experience with payroll in an industrial setting preferred

Strong time management skills
