Job Description

We are a progressive manufacturer of PET beverage bottles, supplying the Coca-Cola bottling system on the East Coast and in the Midwest.  We have a proven track record of stability and sustained growth over the past 20 years, and are looking for candidates for the following position in our Kings Mountain, North Carolina facility: 



REPORTS TO:  Administrative Manager

BASIC FUNCTION:  Responsible for processing hourly payroll for all employees. Maintain employee attendance records and track vacations.  Assist with general administrative duties related to sales and accounts payable or accounts receivable.


Maintain payroll records for all hourly employees.

Review and update payroll data using the Kronos timekeeping system for the preparation of the hourly payroll transmittal. 

Process all payroll changes and new hire paperwork.

Prepare and forward all employee wage increase forms to General Manager for approval.

Maintain accurate records of all hours worked and all attendance records for hourly employees.  Generate attendance report and forward disciplinary recommendations to the General Manager and the Administrative Manager.
Enter and track all approved vacation requests.

Update and maintain employee bulletin boards.  Administer safety incentive programs and perfect attendance award programs.

Assist Administrative Manager with insurance, 401k enrollments, employee orientations or human resource projects. 

If requested, assume responsibility for daily activity associated with insurance, employee appraisals, group life insurance, and other basic benefits.  Activities may include processing enrollments, terminations, and changes, sending reminder notices, and maintaining accurate files related to appraisals and benefits.

Answer phones, manage reception and maintain visitor log and required protocol under BRC.

Perform the following duties, as requested:

Audit daily shipment paperwork to verify actual shipments versus generated invoices.

Input verified sales data into Dynamics AX to generate invoices to mail to customers.

File and maintain copies of invoices and load sheets for all products shipped.

Issue credits to customers for all DMR returns received by SEC and approved by appropriate manager.

Reconcile weekly bottle sales figures with freight costs incurred for shipment.

Process freight invoices and interplant raw material transfers, including generation of month end accruals, tracking of detention charges, and month end reconciliations and reports.

Perform other duties as requested by the Administrative Manager. Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality

Job Requirements

Degree preferred

Work experience in a manufacturing environment; this facility works on a rotating 12-hour shift

Strong computer skills - Excel, Word, Outlook.  

Would like to have someone with experience with KRONOS and/or Dynamics AX

Good communication skills 

Event planning/Catering experience a plus

Good organization skills 

Work experience in Human Resources

Work experience with payroll in an industrial setting 

Strong time management skills
